Cincinnati Community High School

Breaking the cycle of poverty, illiteracy, and incarceration in Cincinnati.

Serving Kids Who Need It Most

Our mission is to provide urban, at-risk male students in Cincinnati with a supportive community for learning academic, job, social, and life skills.  These students have failed out of other schools, experienced trauma, or have been in the criminal justice system and are living in poverty. We want to create a culture that emphasizes respect, responsibility, and relationships to help them break free of their circumstances.

Smaller Classes

Each class will have less than 15 students per teacher for more 1-1 time and quality peer interaction.

Youth Programs

All CCHS students will participate in our “Black Male Initiative (BMI)” program to develop social and business etiquette and other life skills.

Ongoing Teachers

Teachers will stay with the same cohort of students each year, including programs during the summertime.

Vocational Training

Students will have the opportunity to study IT/Cyber Security, and Trades with our vocational partners.

"I want to instill hope, confidence, and empowerment to let students know that all things are possible even in this current state of the world where society often believes there are low or no expectations for black males."

Mark Ferguson, Student-Parent Liason
