Our Story
Taking on Cincinnati's Least Served Youth
6 years ago, two educators noticed how so many black male students were struggling in school. These students weren't getting the attention and care they needed to succeed. The challenges these students face extend far beyond the classroom - poverty, violence, and unstable homes preventing them from breaking out of the cycle of struggle.

The educators formed a plan to start their own charter school focused on the individual success of each student. Not only would they build into their education, but also give them important life skills and vocational opportunities to truly succeed after graduation.
After years of planning, praying, and fasting, CCHS is getting ready to launch, but we need your help. Your generosity will go directly towards the facilities, supplies, educators, and everything else to help these students succeed.

Meet The Team
Mark Ferguson
Student-Parent Liason
Mark has over 30 years experience working with minority students at both the secondary and post secondary level. Mark grew up in Cincinnati, the youngest of 9, and was the first (and only) in his family to graduate from college. Mark has seen the impact of education and caring mentors both in the students that he has served and in his own life. He is a beacon of hope, understanding intimately where our students are coming from but also able to show them where they can go.
Beth Townsend
Treasurer
Beth is a retired healthcare executive having spent her entire career at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center in finance and practice management. It was there she became aware of the underserved children in our city. She has a 15+ year history of volunteering through her church, Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, as well as Taft Elementary. This experience solidified her heart for serving the underserved in our city - one student at a time. She is widowed, owns two cats and lives in Mt. Lookout.
Haejin Lee
Development Leader
Haejin has a background in engineering, educational consulting through Montessori and has founded and ran an after-school program for underserved children. She is passionate about Cincinnati's youth and is determined to help CCHS with logistics and funding requirements.
